Everlasting Rope - Patrick Page

Patrick Page is one of the world's most versatile magicians. A magic dealer, lecturer, performer, author and consultant, he has been successful in nearly every branch of the art. Here, his direct and clever thought process has been applied to a very clean version of the ancient Cut and Restored Rope trick.

Effect: The magician fairly and cleanly cuts a piece of rope in two. The separate pieces are tied together with a sturdy knot. Suddenly, in a pretty, visual manner, the rope is instantly restored into one piece. The knot seems to simply melt away, in full view of the audience.

There is nothing complicated about this trick. It's almost as easy to perform as the description! Just cut the rope, tie the two pieces into a knot, and then gracefully restore it into one piece with nary a suspicious move. It all happens in full view.
