OVERVIEW

We never dreamed that the book published way back in 1981, written by an unknown author, would become one of the most sought after books in card magic with copies selling for over $200. Versatile Card Magic has become a bona fide cult classic. Those lucky enough to own a copy of the limited first edition know that Frank's methods are diabolical and the effects created by them are without equal. Here, at long last, is the much anticipated expanded edition of Frank's book but, like Earl Nelson's Variations Revisited, this is by no means a reprint. The text has been corrected and expanded, there are 283 brand new, crystal-clear photographs by Bill Taylor and the new size allows it to lay flat on the table for ease of study. The only thing that has stayed the same is the great magic and those famous Jerry's Nugget cards that appear in the photos. 228 pages, introduction by Cy Enfield, hardbound with a striking dustjacket.

The [book] was completely overhauled. Text was rewritten where necessary, all new photos were taken – and the number of photos more than doubled – and the text was completely re-typeset. The result is a wonderfully well-made book that captures everything that was great about the original, and updates it beautifully with modern publishing techniques. I know of very few magic books in which every item is worthy of your time and attention. Many books have one or two great items, but the rest of the material is instantly forgettable. Simon's book is uncommon, in that every item within its covers has a lesson to teach. It doesn't get much stronger than this.--Jason England, MAGIC magazine.

A superb edition that should be required reading for any cardician. You have no excuse for failing to obtain this book. It is an absolute pleasure to view and handle and is a model of what a good magic book should be.--Genii magazine.
